A reunião dos Blacks

A reunião dos BlacksNão é como antigamente quando formavam o lendário corredor do Viaduto do Chá, muito menos como nas famosas festas do Ginásio do Palmeiras. Bailes Blacks nos extremos periféricos quase não existem mais, e músicas com grooves pesados não são mais criadas aos montes como na década de 70.
Esses são alguns dos fatores que causaram o sumiço da famosa união black que dominava a juventude negra dos anos 70 até meados dos aos 80 no Brasil, união essa que foi uma das maiores (se não a maior) referencia a auto-estima do jovem negro brasileiro, onde era valorizado a beleza da raça, o swing, o talento, e o poder. O Black Power.
Muitas equipes de bailes que lotavam ginásios e salões com milhares de pessoas não existem mais, alguns artistas se aposentaram, sumiram, ou já não estão entre nós.
E os Blacks? (público)
Alguns se casaram, outros morreram ou viraram pastores de igreja evangélica, outros entraram para o crime… Enfim, cada Black seguiu o seu destino, e assim o movimento se dissipou.
A geração seguinte ainda tentou manter a união dos Blacks com a cultura hip-hop, mas essa união jamais foi a mesma, o sentimento hoje é diferente.
A conclusão seria então que os Blacks (Black Power) morreram? A união Black movida pelo Soul não existe mais? JAMAIS. Parafraseando Mano Brown: “A função e o funk jamais vão morrer…” e continua viva, logicamente com um número bem reduzido de praticantes, se assim podemos dizer, mas com o mesmo amor de décadas atrás dedicadas ao Soul, ao Funk (ou balanço) apelido dado por eles.
Fora os famosos e resistentes bailes conhecidos como “Bailes Nostalgia” que existem para manter a chama acesa, existem também confraternizações mais humildes e não menos importantes que mantém viva a cultura dos Blacks, onde é possível sentir o Soul na alma (ou a alma do Soul), enfim: O Soul Power.

Felipe Ramos da Costa 'Keels' já participa da cultura musical há um bom tempo cantando em coral da igreja, mas com o tempo se focou no rap. Na sua caminhada foi adquirindo experiência em grupos da sua cidade, até fundar o Aliança Verbal e gravar um disco, no processo deste disco se interessou pela produção de beats mas com um grupo suas idéias sofrem muitas transformações e com o tempo sentiu necessidade de fazer um projeto focando suas idéias.Durante o processo conheceu Rodrigo Chiocki Nascimento, que estava iniciando na produção de beats e sempre teve interesse em fazer música, sendo que já estudou musica classica a dois anos mas ouvia rap a um bom tempo. Foi um aprendizado muto, cada um queria fazer sua mixtape mas acabou juntando tudo porque as idéias batiam, lançando o cd single "é a linha de chegada ou é a partida". O cd single é uma amostra do que virá com 4 faixas, não se rotulando em estilo, simplesmente preocupado em fazer música com assuntos diretos para uma fácil compreensão.
